ASSERTIVE COMMUNICATION WORKSHOPS
Together Anne and Don Hardy-Holley guide the student through a process of learning how to truly communicate on a personal basis. The lessons learned helps the student to communicate even emotionally charged information with tact.
Often people say, I don’t need that. I can be assertive. I just can’t get people to do what I want them to do. They may have assertive communication confused with aggressive communication. In this workshop a student learns the differences between:
ASSERTIVE, AGGRESSIVE, PASSIVE/AGGRESSIVE, AND PASSIVE COMMUNICATION
A student learns the language that keeps people stuck during communication, as well as differences between VICTIM LANGUAGE and POWER LANGUAGE. Do you want to learn to say NO? There are four simple steps to saying NO. Also, ANGER is examined enabling a person to communicate this emotion appropriately.
Time is spent practicing these techniques in a fun way. For maximum effect, bring co-workers, your significant other, and/or your children. If you have a question about age appropriateness, call or e-mail.
